Florida Vacation

We decided to take a trip to Florida and we had a wonderful time. This picture was of Chad, Jordan and Isabel at the hotel pool on day one.

Since Jordan got out of school for a week, we needed to do something educational so we visited Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, FL on day three. See my space heroes.
One day four we decided to go over to Clearwater Beach for a "real" beach day. Isabel was not to sure of the sand, and would not venture off the blanket until the very end of the day. Jordan had a great time playing in the water with Chad. We finished our trip with a visit to Seaworld on day five to see Shamu and friends. Then the next day (Mother's day) we parted ways and the kids and I waited to fly home and Chad started out the trip home in the car. He had to basically escape the Florida wildfires and closed highways. If it's not a hurricane running us out of Florida, it's a wild fire keeping us there. We all made it home on Monday afternoon safe and sound. I'll send more pictures soon. Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's day!!! I know I did.

Isabel is 10-months Old!!!

Isabel is 10-months old...I can't believe how big she is and how times goes so fast.

Let's play just a little more before we get in the car. She my pretty dress that Nanay got...one good thing about going to church on Saturday is that we get to wear two Easter Dresses.

Remembering Grandma Bond

Grandma Bond lost her battle with Cancer on Tuesday, March 27, 2007. This picture was taken on March 19th when Connie, Jordan, Isabel and I all went out to see her. She was dressed in her jean shorts, and t-shirt. It reminded me of all the times she would sit by the sliding glass door at the lake and swat flies with the fly swatter. She looked great, however not to long after she passed from us. She will truly be missed her by her family and friends.

I had to see if "the dress" still fit her. It was a tight squeeze but we got it on. I got a few good pictures of her till she go sick of sitting there and started to cry.

Isabel is crawling!!!

I thought the day would never come, but it is official...she is now a crawler. Here is a picture of her in her "tent" she can actually craw inside (she has a little problem getting back out), but she likes to play inside. Isabel is getting so big...in less than three months it will be her birthday.

Happy Baby - NOT!!! - Sick baby update

Not all days are a piece of cake around the Bond house. Isabel was not happy about something, but for the life of me I can't remember what that was.

Isabel just got a clean bill of health today from Dr. V. She was sick the week of President's Day with a fever that lasted about 5 days. The doctor stated on Monday that she probably just had a virus or was teething (since I noticed two more teeth at the doctors office) and it would run its course. She seemed to get better that week but by Friday she was crying all day and seemed to be in pain about something. At about 5:30 that evening Chad called me at work and said I'd better get home because Isabel had green stuff coming out of her ear. We immediately called the doctor and went to Children's Mercy Urgent Care. Poor baby had a ruptured ear drum and an infection in the other ear. Needless to say we spent all of that Friday evening at the hospital and then eating dinner and getting prescriptions filled at 11:30 pm (it's really funny to watch who goes into the 24 hours CVS on a Friday night).

All is better now...Happy Birthday to Isabel today, she is nine months old.

Jordan at World of Wheels

Jordan and Chad went to the "World of Wheels" last Sunday. This was an event that my Dad always took Robbie and I too when we were little. Chad said that his family always went as well. I have pictures of Robbie and I with the General Lee and Chad even got to meet Boss Hogg when he went one year. Even though there was no General Lee or Boss Hogg at the car show this year, Jordan had a good time out with his dad that day. However they probably should have checked before they left on where exactly the car show was...they went to Bartle only to find out that the car show was a Kemper. Oh well, they had a good time anyway. I wish I could have said the same, I was home with Isabel and a 102 degree fever.

Happy Valentines Day

Isabel had a good Valentines Day, she got dressed up in her heart top and ruffle pants. She is getting so big.

Crazy Hair, Crazy Brother and New Teeth!!!

Ok, pictures are really slim now that the holidays are over...I took these pictures last weekend. Isabel now has four teeth...if you click on the one picture above you can actually see them. She's also got some wild hair going on in the middle picture. Her hair is getting longer and Chad says I need to figure out a different hair do, he does not like the mohawk. Oh well for now we are keeping it the same. Isabel will be eight months old tomorrow...I can't believe it. Jordan is well but ready for some warm weather...he's got a little cabin fever. Another Party

We had another party for the Chiefs game on January 6th (Chiefs lost to the Colts), but it was a fun party. Gwen, Joe, Sarah, Jason, Becky, and Isabella all came over and we had a good time even though the Chiefs lost.

Baby New Year!!!

Party Girl Isabel...We went to Sean and Dee's house next door for a New Year's Eve Party. Isabel did well and actually stayed up (after a cat nap) till midnight with all the big kids. Jordan had a good time as well playing with Caleb and shooting off fireworks. Happy New Year to all...

Christmas Time

Here comes Santa Clause...

I had a brilliant idea to arrive early at the mall on Friday to have the kids pictures taken with Santa and not have to wait in too long of a line. Wrong...I think every other family in town decided to do the same. We waited an hour, (not too bad) and then about five minutes from getting to the front, Isabel falls fast asleep on my shoulder and would not wake up for Santa at all. So that is why she is alseep in this picture. Well I can at least say I tried.

We had a wonderful Christmas celebrating Jesus's Birthday with family and friends. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and may God bless you.

Six Months Old

Isabel is now six-months old...with that milestone came some changes. I discovered at the doctor's office on Monday that she has her first tooth. It's small, but it's there. Isabel can also now sit up on her own, she eventually falls over but she can sit there for a while without support. My baby is getting so big. Can't wait for Christmas. Take Care...

Jordan & Isabel

Just thought I would share this picture of my two kids...This was taken yesterday morning as we were getting ready for school, work, daycare etc. Jordan loves his little sister and she loves him. You should see how she lights up when he comes into the room. She gets the biggest smile on her face each time he talks to her and plays with her. I could not ask for better kids, and I thank God each day he gives me with them and I am so blessed to be their mom. Hope everyone is well. LY

Go CHIEFS!!!

Thanksgiving Day - Chad and I ventured out to the Chiefs game on Thanksgiving night. Dad and Sharon watched the kids and I got to go to my first game since opening day. We had a great time, we tailgated and had fun at the game, it also helps when the Chiefs win. It was like superbowl atmosphere with a really big half-time show by John Fogarty. We had a wonderful time and the weather was great. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year. As I sit here at my computer I think about all that has happened this year and I know that I am truly blessed. My Aunt Donna and Uncle John came through their health concerns and are doing well, we had a healthy happy baby in June, Robbie made it safely home from Korea in September and is now living outside St. Louis, Jordan is doing well in school, and my uncle Eddy is free right now from the brain tumor, however he still needs prayer since he has still quite a ways to go with his battle with cancer. Chad and I are doing well and we are looking forward to Christmas with our kids. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season. God Bless...

I'm five months old...

Isabel turned five months old on November 7th...yeah yeah I know what you are thinking Faith...it's about time you got a new picture out here. Well I at least go it posted before she turns six months old. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday this weekend. Take care and God Bless!!!

Jordan's Halloween

Jordan was a BMX bike rider during the party at school, and he was a "hip hop" guy during the night time raid of the neighborhood. All the second grade teachers at his school were secret service agents for Mr. Bangs (who was the president). Isabel had a great time at the party watching all the kids, thank goodness Grandma Conniecame to the party with me.

My New Seat

See my new seat...It's called a BUMBO seat. Isabel loves to be able to sit up and look at everything going on especially watching her big brother. Soon after we got this seat, Isabel started eating rice cereal. She currently eats it in the morning and again at night. Next week we will introduce oatmeal or barley cereal. She is beginning to be a big girl...

October 15th - Isabel's baby dedication! This was my Christening dress when I was a baby. I've waited along time for my baby girl to wear it.

Wedding

Here is Isabel at her first wedding...Aunt Gwen and Uncle Greg got married on Saturday, October 14th. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding. Isabel was a trooper through it all...from sleeping through the wedding with Nanay to dancing with her daddy till the last song was played. She also got to meet Uncle Robbie and Aunt Sherri for the first time at the reception that night. They drove in for a quick visit and to attend Isabel's baby dedication that was on Sunday...watch for more Isabel pictures from Sunday. Take care...

Sailor Girl!!!

I know I have not posted in a while, sorry. Here is Isabel in her sailor dress we got her. She was having a good time at Aunt Gwen's bridal shower on September 16th.

PS - Would everyone keep my Uncle Eddy (Mom's younger brother) in your thoughts and prayers. He is undergoing some serious medical issues with a brain tumor and he really needs everyone's prayers.
