Is Summer FINALLY here???

The kids enjoyed the warm weather yesterday on the deck in the kiddie pool. At first Isabel wanted nothing to do with it. By the end of the afternoon she was jumping and splashing with her brother.
Happy Memorial Day to all the Veterans out there who have served or who are currently serving our country...Thank you for all you do.
My brother Robbie is currently deployed to Iraq, he will be there until approximately October. Pray for him and his safety and for all the soldiers there with him. We miss you Robbie...

Sorry it's been so long...

Hello all,

We've had a busy 2008 so far...It's finally spring break and I think I will be able to catch my breath soon. With Chad starting his new career, Jordan's state assessments, my grandma passing just this last week, things have been hectic. We are doing fine, just trying to stay afloat and keep my head above water. At least this week I only work 1 1/2 days, so mostly I will be off work and with my kiddos.

Jordan and I went and say "Horton Hears a Who" yesterday, it was really cute. We also did a bunch of errands and running around while Isabel was at daycare.

Hope everyone is enjoying this "semi" warm weather...keep looking, spring has to be there somewhere.

Please says some extra prayers for my uncle Eddy (mom's younger brother)...during recent doctor's visits this past week, he did not get a very good report...it's simply wait and see in another two months what the scans say then. He did not feel really good during Grandma's funeral, but never once complained. He's such an awesome and Godly man...he can really use the prayers.

Take care everyone and happy early Easter...
LY

Brother and Sister

Have you even seen two siblings look so much alike? I guess Robbie and I looked similar for being a boy and a girl. Everytime I take Isabel somewhere someone ALWAYS says...she looks just like her brother.
I'm curious to see if we were to have another baby if he/she would look the same as these two? Again just curious not saying ANY thing else...as of right now we are done!!!
Hope everyone has a great week...stay warm:)

Holiday Greetings from the Bonds!!!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!

My Blog this year is our Christmas letter...with everything going on with the family, my new job, school, Isabel and the holidays...I had to say "no" to something and I decided the Bond Family Christmas letter and Christmas card was what I could give up. I realize that our whole year was cataloged and documented on my blog, so why not just send another link and wish everyone Merry Christmas that way.
If you scroll down you will find my prior posts in the archive section.
We want to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year. May everyone be safe and well this holiday season.
God Bless...from the Bonds

Isabel and her baby!!!

I was beginning to wonder if Isabel would ever "play" with her doll, typically she just tossed it on the floor and then climbs into the baby doll bed herself. But now after spending the last four weeks with Connie and baby Grace on Tuesday's, Isabel knows ALL about babies now. I have to wrap up or swaddle her doll in that blanket about 100 times each evening and we feed the baby and hold the baby and then the baby sleeps with Isabel. Now all she needs is a baby doll stroller "hint hint" you aunts and uncles out there reading this...
Now we just need to name our baby doll...my doll's name was "Debbie" when I was a little girl...any suggestions?

Santa Baby!!!

Isabel would not actually sit on Santa's lap, she would only stand there by bubba with her dogie. But hey, at least she was awake this year...Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their families. We had a good day yesterday, we went to my mom's house and my brother and his wife are in town. Last night Jordan, Robbie, Sherri and I all went down to the plaza and watched the plaza lights come on. It was cold, but we were able to get into my office and watch the lighting. We also had an excellent view of the fireworks display. We had a great time. There is so much to be thankful for...hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend:)

Sorry I have not written lately...

We have been so busy lately between football practice, games and now indoor soccer season starting. I have also be searching and looking for a nanny to watch Isabel and baby Grace three days per week (Chad's sister's baby). We are having some luck with good interviews, but time is running out.

In addition to that, we had a new baby in the family...Owen Scott was born on October 8th and weighed 5lbs, 10 ozs (little guy). Jeff & Cathy and now baby Owen are doing fine at home. We also have had parent/teacher conferences and numerous other things going on around here. I wish I could say things have got to slow down a little, but the holidays are coming...blah, blah, blah.

I hope this finds everyone doing well, please continue to pray for my uncle Eddy, he is still battling his brain tumor and related health concerns and hopefully will find out good news tomorrow at the doctor...

Take care everyone and talk to ya later...

More shoes please!!!

It does not matter the time of day, what kind they are, how high or big they are, Isabel LOVES shoes. In fact as I was loading these pictures she had another pair of Jordan's shoes on. She is such a girly girl, I know that I am in trouble later. Maybe she won't wear the same size as me??? I can hope:)

35 and holding!!!

Ok, so I turned 35 yesterday...big deal right? The thirties never really bothered me so this one is not that big of deal - at least I keep telling myself that all day today. At least Chad has not yet made the comment that I am now as old as him for the next 22 days...
However, I am not very cool according to Jordan, but Isabel at least still loves me and wants me around at ALL times. She puts on a good attempt to make me feel wanted when I take her to the church nursery...she throws a good fit only later to learn that she turned it off just as fast as she turned it on and that she was fine a few seconds after they closed the door.
Oh well, life goes one even when you turn 35...
I am truly blessed with a wonderful husband, kids and family. I can't ask for anything more...

Take care and have a wonderful October!!!

My sweet girl!!!

Having a little girl is so much fun. The clothes are so much cuter (sorry Jordan). I got the black/leopard print outfit on EBay (my new addiction for baby girl clothes). Grandma Connie got her new big girl shoes that are so cute on her feet. The picture in the wood chair was taken when we went over to my dad's this past weekend. He is going well, just working on getting stronger everyday. Hope everyone is well. Take care...

St.Louis/Labor Day/Jordan's Party

Labor Day Weekend...we traveled to St. Louis on Friday night(actually Illinois - where Robbie and Sherri live), did some sight seeing on Saturday, went to the airshow on Sunday (which Isabel slept through the loudest part of the Blue Angel show - how she sleeps through fireworks and airplanes I'll never know). We drove home on Sunday night and then Monday morning went to Chad's parents for the annual Labor Day parade, but we were not done yet. After the parade we went back to his parents house and had Jordan's birthday party complete with lunch. presents and cake. After a quick visit to see Grandma and Grandpa Foster we made it home just in time for baths and bed. Whew...I needed to go back to work just to get some rest. We had a good time. I'll post again after I get some more rest...

First Day of Third Grade

Jordan is now in third grade and can now "officially" ride his bike to school.
However, the rule is he can only ride to school with his friend Bobby who is in fifth grade and he has to wear his helmet (no exceptions). I got a little push back on this till Bobby's mom told me that when Bobby was in third grade the only way he could ride to school was if his dad rode with him. I'll post again soon (Faith - lol) from our trip to St. Louis this past weekend. We had a good time but are ready for a relaxing weekend at home.

Update on Dad!!!

My dad is doing well as can be expected. He had surgery on Friday and was able today to get up and about (sit in a chair etc). He will have a long road of recovery ahead of him...he cannot bear weight on that left leg for at least two months. Please keep him in your prayers...

Love,
Jackie

When it rains it pours!!!

After almost 20 hours of labor, we have a new member of the family...Gwen and Greg are proud new parents of baby Grace Elizabeth born yesterday evening. She is so pretty with her little round face and china doll complexion. She looks like her daddy but has her mommy's eyes. Congratulations guys...she is beautiful!!!

On another note, my dad really needs a bunch of prayers tonight. Yesterday he fell off an eight foot ladder onto the concrete garage floor. In the process he seems to have broken his hip and crushed his pelvis. He is currently in traction and waiting for surgery which might not happen till Friday. He is in a lot of pain and can't move at all. Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery and that all goes well when they do take him to surgery later this week.

I know the lord will never give you more than you can handle, but with my new job, school starting, dad having his accident, and other family things it seems to be a lot to handle.

I often say to myself to just "trust in him" and he will get me through, and I need that more than ever now.

love, jb
