I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their families. We had a good day yesterday, we went to my mom's house and my brother and his wife are in town. Last night Jordan, Robbie, Sherri and I all went down to the plaza and watched the plaza lights come on. It was cold, but we were able to get into my office and watch the lighting. We also had an excellent view of the fireworks display. We had a great time. There is so much to be thankful for...hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend:)

Sorry I have not written lately...
We have been so busy lately between football practice, games and now indoor soccer season starting. I have also be searching and looking for a nanny to watch Isabel and baby Grace three days per week (Chad's sister's baby). We are having some luck with good interviews, but time is running out.
In addition to that, we had a new baby in the family...Owen Scott was born on October 8th and weighed 5lbs, 10 ozs (little guy). Jeff & Cathy and now baby Owen are doing fine at home. We also have had parent/teacher conferences and numerous other things going on around here. I wish I could say things have got to slow down a little, but the holidays are coming...blah, blah, blah.
I hope this finds everyone doing well, please continue to pray for my uncle Eddy, he is still battling his brain tumor and related health concerns and hopefully will find out good news tomorrow at the doctor...
Take care everyone and talk to ya later...

More shoes please!!!

It does not matter the time of day, what kind they are, how high or big they are, Isabel LOVES shoes. In fact as I was loading these pictures she had another pair of Jordan's shoes on. She is such a girly girl, I know that I am in trouble later. Maybe she won't wear the same size as me??? I can hope:)Jackie

35 and holding!!!
Ok, so I turned 35 yesterday...big deal right? The thirties never really bothered me so this one is not that big of deal - at least I keep telling myself that all day today. At least Chad has not yet made the comment that I am now as old as him for the next 22 days...
However, I am not very cool according to Jordan, but Isabel at least still loves me and wants me around at ALL times. She puts on a good attempt to make me feel wanted when I take her to the church nursery...she throws a good fit only later to learn that she turned it off just as fast as she turned it on and that she was fine a few seconds after they closed the door.
Oh well, life goes one even when you turn 35...
I am truly blessed with a wonderful husband, kids and family. I can't ask for anything more...
Take care and have a wonderful October!!!

My sweet girl!!!

Having a little girl is so much fun. The clothes are so much cuter (sorry Jordan). I got the black/leopard print outfit on EBay (my new addiction for baby girl clothes). Grandma Connie got her new big girl shoes that are so cute on her feet. The picture in the wood chair was taken when we went over to my dad's this past weekend. He is going well, just working on getting stronger everyday. Hope everyone is well. Take care...

St.Louis/Labor Day/Jordan's Party

Labor Day Weekend...we traveled to St. Louis on Friday night(actually Illinois - where Robbie and Sherri live), did some sight seeing on Saturday, went to the airshow on Sunday (which Isabel slept through the loudest part of the Blue Angel show - how she sleeps through fireworks and airplanes I'll never know). We drove home on Sunday night and then Monday morning went to Chad's parents for the annual Labor Day parade, but we were not done yet. After the parade we went back to his parents house and had Jordan's birthday party complete with lunch. presents and cake. After a quick visit to see Grandma and Grandpa Foster we made it home just in time for baths and bed. Whew...I needed to go back to work just to get some rest. We had a good time. I'll post again after I get some more rest...Jackie

First Day of Third Grade
Jordan is now in third grade and can now "officially" ride his bike to school.
However, the rule is he can only ride to school with his friend Bobby who is in fifth grade and he has to wear his helmet (no exceptions). I got a little push back on this till Bobby's mom told me that when Bobby was in third grade the only way he could ride to school was if his dad rode with him. I'll post again soon (Faith - lol) from our trip to St. Louis this past weekend. We had a good time but are ready for a relaxing weekend at home.Monday, August 20, 2007
Update on Dad!!!
My dad is doing well as can be expected. He had surgery on Friday and was able today to get up and about (sit in a chair etc). He will have a long road of recovery ahead of him...he cannot bear weight on that left leg for at least two months. Please keep him in your prayers...

When it rains it pours!!!
After almost 20 hours of labor, we have a new member of the family...Gwen and Greg are proud new parents of baby Grace Elizabeth born yesterday evening. She is so pretty with her little round face and china doll complexion. She looks like her daddy but has her mommy's eyes. Congratulations guys...she is beautiful!!!
On another note, my dad really needs a bunch of prayers tonight. Yesterday he fell off an eight foot ladder onto the concrete garage floor. In the process he seems to have broken his hip and crushed his pelvis. He is currently in traction and waiting for surgery which might not happen till Friday. He is in a lot of pain and can't move at all. Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery and that all goes well when they do take him to surgery later this week.
I know the lord will never give you more than you can handle, but with my new job, school starting, dad having his accident, and other family things it seems to be a lot to handle.
I often say to myself to just "trust in him" and he will get me through, and I need that more than ever now.
love, jb

First Haircut!!!

Isabel had her first official haircut on Saturday, August 4th. Gina who has been cutting my hair for the past 5+ years got the honor of cutting it. Isabel did surprisingly well considering she had to sit through my haircut first. Jordan was a trooper and came along for the picture taking (of course I had to pay him $5 bucks to do that duty). We had a good day!Sunday, August 05, 2007
Kids will be kids
Jordan is always playing and trying to get Isabel to laugh and run through the house...in fact he is chasing her right now as I type this post. Yesterday Isabel had her first offical boo-boo. Jordan and her were sitting on the deck chair cushions in the house and she ended up bumping her head on the wall by the fish tank. She is fine...I'm sure it's just the first of many boo-boos to come. Saturday, July 28, 2007

I love my new job...

It is perfect for me...I am so excited to really get things going. The last two weeks have been mostly training, learning, researching and watching what goes on. I've met a lot of wonderful people as well. Today my group had a Unit outing, complete with a ride on a mechanical bull (see pictures). I think I am going to be really sore tomorrow since I got thrown off pretty hard. I remembering when I landed everyone going "oh, ah, etc." more like "o my gosh" that must have really hurt.
I survived the ride so all is well. Take care everyone and have a great weekend.

Happy 4th of July!!!
This has always been on of my favorite holidays...I love the hot weather, flip flops and watching fireworks. It's really the heart of the summer that I love the most. We went down the street and watched fireworks last night, it was a fun evening. I'll send more pictures later today of the kids in their flag shirts...I hope everyone has a wonderful day...

Jackie's New Job!!!
Many of you know that I left my job back in April and have been a stay at home mom for the last couple of months. It's been the best short-term job that I have ever had, I have loved every minute of it. However the time has come that I must return to my career (and a paycheck and benefits).
I recently accepted a new position with a local company to work with a school district as the Wellness & Health Benefits Coordinator. I will be working with all staff coordinating their new wellness program. I am so excited about the new opportunity. If I could have wrote a position for myself, I would have wrote this one. It is perfect for me.
Thank you to everyone who has kept us in their thoughts and prayers this last couple of months. It has meant everything.
Love,
Jackie

Aloha from Hawaii

We had Isabel's Party today...we had a traditional Luau from Hawaii complete with a roasted pig in the ground and hula dancers (NOT - lol). No really we did have a Luau except without the pig and I could not get anyone to dance (except Isabel). We had chicken and shrimp made by our resident Chef (Daddy). Isabel had a good party complete with presents, cake and a good meal. Well now it's time to really get summer started. Aloha everyone...
